13 Hungarian Martyrs of Arad – October 6th, 1849

After the 1848 revolution, the new Austrian governor, Julius Jacob von Haynau, ordered the execution of the Hungarian Prime Minister; Lajos Batthyány; together with 13 Hungarian Martyrs (leaders of the Hungarian army) in Arad On October 6^th, 1849.
